Showers and other Fun Party Ideas

Made these super cute pom pom balls to hang from the ceiling for Julie's bridal shower.  I could NEVER have folded and cut so many of these without the help of Maria Nill!!

 School Stuff

A Cherry Blossom tree I made for a bulletin board in my classroom last year.  We wrote poems about Cherry Blossoms and hung them on the tree.

Paint Your Own Pottery

Spent the day with my mom at a paint-your-own pottery place.  My husband is a die hard Arkansas fan so I painted this mug for him!  The only thing that could have made that day better would have been several bottles of wine!

I also painted some cute bowls for Halloween!

Around The House

Finally, some color!  Aside from two bathrooms in my house NONE of the walls are painted.  We've been living there for over 4 years and haven't gotten around to painting anything.  Thanks to the help of my great friend Brianne the first wall was painted!  The vase/flower combo was a result of a day trip to Hobby Lobby with mom while the books/clock were from a separate trip to Chartreuse and the Antique Mall.

Halloween Costume!

For the past two years at school I have been a butterfly.  The kids always enjoy it and it really only requires some creative makeup, wings, and a headband!

 Jar Cookies for Any Occasion

These make the perfect gift for co-workers or great favors for showers/parties!

Wish Tree

This is the perfect centerpiece for a shower of any kind.  We made tags for people to write advice for the Mom-to-Be (or you could do bride), and people hung them on the tree.

 Personalized Ornaments

I confess, I got this idea of Pinterest.  I made these ornaments for my best friend last Christmas.  She was recently married so I cut up her wedding invitation and curled the strips.  Then I carefully placed them inside the glass ornaments so that the most important words/phrases were displayed.  She had a beach-themed wedding so I used some adorable silver shell accents to finish them off.

 Chocolate-Covered Oreos

These were my very first attempt at making chocolate-covered Oreos.  I made these for a baby shower for a co-worker.  They were delicious and a big hit at the party!
